(He/Him)
Hello, I’m Casey.
I came to the Pacific Northwest by way of New York and Los Angeles, having been born and raised near Nashville. Partially out of some inexplicable curiosity, and partially due to my own struggles with mental health, I’ve long been driven to explore the causes and cures to suffering. One way I’ve engaged this drive is through music: I‘ve been a singer songwriter since I was a teenager, and songwriting has always provided me a safe means to understand and express my ‘dangerous’ things. The other way I’ve explored suffering and healing is through the art of therapy. To me, there is nothing more courageous and beautiful than two people sitting down together and facing life as honestly and humanly as possible. It’s my job and my passion to partner with such brave people in their own healing.
If you’d like to know a little bit about how I approach therapy, please see the video at the bottom of this page.
—who I work with—
I specialize in working with people who sense that they’ve lost touch—or have never been in touch—with a true, authentic, powerful self. This can show up as one or many of the things listed here —>
If you don’t relate to the experiences listed here, but something tells you we might be a good match anyway, I invite you to listen to that voice and reach out. I have experience working with post-traumatic stress, anger regulation, relationship challenges, and some dissociative experiences (ex. zoning out, feeling out-of-body).
Prioritizing others’ needs and minimizing your own.
Knowing you have potential, but feeling like you can’t access it.
An unsureness of your own feelings.
Aversion to conflict, and possibly shutting down in conflict.
An ever-present fear of being judged.
A painful self-consciousness, lack of confidence, or low self-esteem.
Depression.
Lack of motivation.
Difficulty with intimacy.
At this time, I work remotely with adult and adolescent (13-18) residents of Washington and Oregon.
